We LOVE Anorak Magazine!

Our friend Felicty has recently teamed up with Anorak Magazine , the clever and cool London-based publication devoted to fun art and illustration for kids aged 6-12. Simple and nostalgic, the press also offers a pre-school age magazine called Dot. We love the graphics and friendly sensibilities. She sent us a few to test-drive and the girls had a ball. Bonus: they now ship free to the US & Canada!

PS: How was Anorak introduced to you?

FC: In 2009 when I was doing my children's clothing label, Cathy Olmedillas, the Editor & founder of Anorak, used some of my pieces in the magazine...ever since then we've kept in touch. I was already a fan of Anorak & used to buy it for my own kids...

PS: What makes Anorak stand out from the crowd?

FC: I've always been drawn to things of substance, I can't stand buying magazines for the kids that they look at for 5 minutes then toss them aside...

What I like & respect about Anorak is the longevity of it... it's beautifully illustrated & thoughtfully produced....it's something to collect & pass on. Its not filled with adverts & unnecessary things aimed at seducing kids...

I'm really pleased to be part of the team!

Anorak is an independent magazine created just for children, they work exclusively with Artists and illustrators without the need for any annoying & unnecessary advertising..it's printed on recycled paper using vegetable dyes & it looks to encourage children's creativity & imagination. Due to the success of the magazine (comes out 4 times a year) The Anorak Press have launched a series of activity books & colouring books, as well as an illustration collective, Studio Anorak, which works with museums, brands and cultural associations to create fun pieces of communications aimed at creative families...

Anorak have also recently entered the digital realm with the Happy Anorak App & the Happy Stickers
