WHEN HEAPS OF CLOTHES PILE FOR SO LONG, IT BECOMES ART

DO YOU AIR YOUR DIRTY LAUNDRY ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Should we be eschewing the perfect mom-blogger depiction by sharing our mom fails or is this brand of self-deprecation not doing us any favors?

We’re sick of feeling bad about ourselves, too. There are the perfect, dreamy women with curated lives and next-level taste  who juggle it all so beautifully while we sulk and shrink in comparison, and then there are the wine-championing, loose-lipped, real lifers who join to commiserate in the havoc and normalize the discombobulation. But …what about somewhere in between? There is an allure of imperfection  in everything, and we can certainly celebrate that rough reality, while still embracing the elegance of the mess. It’s our MA-DIOCRITY that moves us along. Can we appreciate the beauty in the small things, but accept the ridiculous farces that are inevitable in parenthood? Can we take it all with grace: the good and the absurdity together? Or is it the modern mom’s obligation to promulgate the ugly?
