We're passionate to the core about championing everyday creative mamas and sharing new talent. We're turning unexpected corners to meet these quiet voices with genuine work to celebrate. Beauty is in your own backyard, as exemplified by Sacramento's Sarah Perez. Freckled and giggly, she's as adorable as she is skilled. Her irresistible bursts of magnetic energy transfer straight through to the kinetic wall hangings she creates under her label, Electric Sun Creatives. Click for more, as she answers #thesamethreequestions.

When we first came across Sarah's work, we were already overbooked for our Maker's Mart this past fall. However, being utterly moved by her complex aesthetic, we took her on in hopes that there would be space available for her. Alas, there was...and a new kismet friendship began. She's one of those people you meet and feel like you've known for a lifetime. Her infectious cheer lights up a room, and we covet the dreamy geometric wall jewelry she handcrafts in her loft. We're smitten with Sarah and her sweet little family of three.

1.PS: Tell us a bit what's behind your children's names:

Harper Jean Elizabeth, 2

SP: We have the coolest 2 year old daughter named Harper Jean Elizabeth -- SO cool, that we’re thinking of only having one! We can’t recall where we first heard the name “Harper”, but it instantly made us think of a vivacious, creative, stoked-on-life kiddo. And, her two middle names, Jean and Elizabeth (keeping with tradition on my husband’s side), are two of Harper’s great-grandma’s names. Jean on my side and Elizabeth on my husband’s. Once we strung those names together, no other contenders could do.

2.PS: Can you share a few of your local Motherhood Favorites?

SP: As a family, we love experiencing downtown Sacramento by bike. We’ve been putting Harper in the bike trailer, strapped in a car seat, since she was 2 months old (completely safe, I promise) It was bound to happen with my bike-mechanic hubz. We all find crazy amounts of joy in our little outings -- nothing beats feeling the warmth of sunshine and the cool of the wind on your face at the same time.

As for things to do around town, we love walking to Insight Coffee, a few blocks from our home and getting creative at Art Beast, a kid’s art studio.

3. PS: Would you mind sharing a SCRIBBLE? (a doodle, a recipe, a poem- anything!)
