Some say being a parent is selfless, but I alway feel it's the most selfish thing I have ever done. I gain so much out of being a mother that is doesn't feel like sacrifice. My eyes have been opened to a new world and I get to see it through their eyes. The magic they see in the world allows me to see the beauty I had stopped noticing. I learn from my children daily to become a more present, patient, compassionate, and loving adult. It fills my life with the biggest love-feelings. I know that love and safety are the base for building a strong personality so I make sure to give that to my girls beyond everything else.
One thing I have happily discovered is myself as a woman through motherhood. My message for my girls as future women is very simple: know yourself and do what you like!
