Ma Crush Monday: Heather Taylor of Heather Taylor Home
Simplicity in elegance is mastered with the visionary Heather Taylor. The California designer captures bliss at home in her eponymous collection. Click for more while she shares some motherhood favorites and personal snapshots as she answers #thesamethreequestions.
We were introduced to Heather by way of our dear friend, tastemaker extraordinaire Joanna Williams. At the time, Heather was a rising art gallery owner + blogger, penning stories on her unique food, style, home, flowers, entertaining, and travel finds. She has since become a mother of a radiant little girl and launched her namesake line of home goods and textiles, Heather Taylor Home. Inspired by her love of travel and eclectic entertaining style, her handmade pieces range from tea towels and table linens to scarves and baby blankets. A personal favorite is the gender-neutral plum baby blanket, befit for the sweetest homecoming or a charming shower gift. We're excited she took a moment to talk with us about her own elegant little family in Los Angeles.
1.PS: Tell us a bit what's behind your children's names:
Scarlett Jane, 1 year
HT: When I learned I was having a girl I was excited for many reasons, including the fact that I would get to name her Scarlett! It’s a name that evokes such beauty to me. When I told people my plans for her name, a few friends said “You look like the mom of a Scarlett!” It immediately felt right. She just turned one and her name fits her like a glove. Her middle name is Jane, which feels like a moment of simplicity in between the romance of both her first name “Scarlett” and her last name “de Cordoba.” I’ve clearly given this a little bit of thought.
2.PS: Can you share a few of your Motherhood Favorites?
HT: Some of our favorites include:
Taking her to gym class, which we always follow up with a mother/daughter lunch.
When she wakes up in the morning and we bring her into our bed for snuggles.
Dressing her in Bonpoint rompers and Makie hairpins
Reading to her, specifically I Love You Good Night
3. PS: Would you mind sharing a SCRIBBLE? (a doodle, a recipe, a poem- anything!)
