Digs: Sunrise Ruffalo's Sunny's Callicoon Pop

Our new favorite #digs rest in the quirky Catskills town of Callicoon, NY.  After reading about the space in Vogue, we made sure to stop through while on a recent summer road trip and fell in love with Sunny's Callicoon Pop- an impeccable trove of artful findings and rarities tucked deep in the rolling hills where an enchanting river hugs its little town.

We've had serious admiration for proprietor Sunrise Ruffalo ever since her influential Kaviar and Kind shop in Los Angeles pioneered cool, fine jewelry and experiential shopping in the early 2000's. We've adored her unmatched personal style and when we heard she uprooted her family from the busy city-life to the offbeat town of Callicoon- we had to visit.

Digs: Amy Hughes of Salvage Style and Family

Amy Hughes is quite a local legend around town here in the SOMA neighborhoods and her beloved shop Salvage Style is a go-to for chic "interiors with a past." A seriously-skilled treasure hunter and Momboss of two littles (Vivienne and Nicholas), Amy brings a seasoned eye (she is a longtime magazine editor, author, and design consultant) to the town, so we couldn't wait to get inside her own home. Mid-century scores were presented off-kilter amongst cozy warmth (hello, stone fireplace) and sweet and citrus color-play, and we didn't want to leave her stylish playroom.  Take a look as Christy Kurtz-Harmon shows us around this quintessentially Boburbs home !

Digs: Kaila and Sloane

Here at PS, there's really nothing that tickles our fancy more than the charm of a creative, humble abode. This week, we meet California designer and stylist, Kaila and her new little Sloane in the Elmhurst neighborhood of Sacramento. A recent Petaluma-transplant, Kaila brings a kind of cool coastal minimalism to the house. There's a quiet loveliness in the moments of pause and simple decor, and our hearts swell with her little Waldorf nursery. Instagram and this ever-ebbing circle of community and motherhood brought us together and birthed a new friendship. Beth herself snapped photos on an afternoon visit. Click to take a look around her carefully collected, sweet home.

Digs: Emma Cassi's favorite room in the house

We just about fell over when our friend, jewelry + embroidery designer Emma Cassi sent us these beautiful photographs taken from inside her favorite room in the family's new home. The house, in the village of Old Windsor, was a former dance school and all the mirrors were left behind. Settled in the forest and near the Thames River, Emma and her daughter Hope have created their own dreamy space to twirl in. SWOON!!!

Digs: Kat's Closet

We're exploring the notion of identity beyond just Motherhood over here at PS.  Most of us cling to old photographs of our own Mothers, romanticizing her cool youth and perfectly-now style, and what made her.. HER. We wonder what our sons and daughters will remember in us- (hopefully not the chaos), and more of a little something like the beauty and innate elegance in our dear friend, Kat  (if we're lucky!) These kiddos landed a good one. She demonstrates a kind of grace in everyday dressing that we all aspire. She has one of the most articulated sense of personal style we've seen, with a virtuosity in Vintage like no other. What better place to kick it off other than Kat's Closet?! Click through East-Coast Photo Contributor Christy Kurtz Harmon's gorgeous pics for some wardrobe-envy.

Digs: Ashley Gleason of Vestige

When a mentor-of -sorts and a dear friend tipped us off to her pal Ashley Gleason's stunning home, we couldn't wait to reach out ourselves to learn more. The lifestyle concept-shop proprietor and mother of two has transformed her 1860's Italianate townhouse into a modern masterpiece in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. Click for the tour, as Dominic Episcopo photographs the wildly inspiring, down-to-earth decadence.

Digs: Our own Beth and Edie

This woman is everything. It's of the highest delights to be able to step inside her California Victorian flat and feel the poetic and cozy space she has created for herself and Edie. Through thick and thin, Beth illuminates. She is a beacon of curiosity and gratitude (she has been since we met at age 10). Her home resonates this thoughtful, loving luminosity of hers- we'd do just about anything to be there with them right now in the #boburbswest! Click for the tour as shot by Marrisa Rocke.....come on in to the world of Nouveau Nonchalance!

Digs: Adrienne and Gabriel

We met Adrienne at our own Beth's shibori workshop - she was wearing a vintage kimono we couldn't ignore.  She's a woman's woman- a mamma hen to her college-aged son with a strong sense of self. We loved hearing the muse-y maven talk with us about Motherhood and her uncompromised sense of style.  Check out her groovy, historic bungalow in the tree-lined neighborhood of Curtis Park in Sacramento, as shot by Celisse Muller. Imagine Leonard Cohen playing in the background on vinyl.... click for the tour.

Nursery Tour: Dana, Georgia, and Clio

This buttery-yellow nursery is loaded with personalization and clever keepsakes. Vintage wicker, catchy prints, and pattern-play accessorize an antique pair of tidy twin beds that will someday soon tuck in a ginger-mopped toddler named Georgia and her brand new baby sister (Clio, born in October). Owner of a creative talent and recruiting company and #Bobuburbseast own social matchmaker of sorts, Dana Siomkos shows us around her gals' sweet space. Photographed by Christy Kurtz Harmon.

Digs: Elizabeth and Family

It's no surprise California boasts a ripe crop of mid-century modern architecture, but discovering these gems outside of the southern coastal and desert cities is particularly exciting. Our new friend, Elizabeth (who by chance is also close with some of our other pals here), is lucky enough to actually inhabit one in Sacramento. Celisse Muller photographs her streamlined space; one of the niche market homes in the surrounding suburbs of midtown designed by the architect Carter Sparks, and built by the Streng Bros, inspired by the Bay Area Eichler. Click for more of the Uzbekistan-born beauty's stylish home.
